FAQs

How long for the production of a jewellery piece?

For custom orders or made to order pieces, I suggest allowing at least 2-4 weeks to craft. Most items are made to order unless in ‘ready to ship’ section.

Orders are shipped from where my boat is located at the time, United Kingdom.

Domestic shipping takes 1 day and will be send Special Delivery Recorded.

Standard International shipping takes a minimum 7 days.

Tracking will be provided to keep updated with where your order is.

WORKING OUT RING SIZE

I recommend going into a jewellers shop to establish an accurate size. My pieces are measured in a UK sizing system. Should you require resizing of your ring or or even a ring not purchased here I offer this service in my studio, customers may need to pay a small additional fee for resizing. Please contact me at info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk.

Do you work with precious stones?

Yes, my stones are all imported with local and sustainable companies whom I’ve worked with throughout my jewellery career.

Do you do custom orders?

I do take on custom orders and more than happy to talk you through the process. Please contact me to discuss info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk

What is your return policy?

The majority of my pieces are hand-crafted to order (even all the pieces which are at the specific time in stock) and custom jewellery is hand-crafted to order based on your specifications. Returns are not accepted due to customer error, change of mind or for custom commissioned pieces.

I do not accept any returns on Face Jewellery & Earrings due to hygiene safety.

Should you be disappointed by your order, please contact me by email info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk (within 5 days) of receiving your order to discuss what we can do to solve this issue. Should a return be necessary, the product must be returned in as it arrived in a “new” condition within the month or arrival date. Note all orders are made to order and have intentional rough and organic qualities.

If something has broken, I am happy to repair, replace or refund depending on the circumstances. Email me at info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk

If my size isn’t an option on the product page, can I have my piece made in custom size?

I can customise to any size required. This can be arranged via email info@thefloatingjeweller.co.uk
What are the materials used for the jewellery?

92.5 recycled silver, brass, bronze and gold on request.

Take care of your jewellery to get the most out of it jewellery is delicate and should be handled with care and love. Your piece of jewellery is individual, but as a general guide:

  • Gently rub gold, brass and silver jewellery with a soft, clean cloth to maximise the shine.

  • Jewellery set with gems can be brought to life by careful cleaning with a soft brush and soapy water, or with a proprietary jewellery cleaning solution. Some stones do change colour when in contact with water and soaps so please be aware of this.

  • Remove perfume, hairspray and anything else likely to damage them. Don't use abrasive cleaners on jewellery.

  • Keep jewellery carefully stored and separated - not jumbled together in a draw. Keep chains fastened so that they don't get tangled up.

  • I’m more than happy to re-oxidise / polish your jewellery in time with a small fee.
